Expressing deep concern over Uber’s persistent disregard for established regulations, particularly regarding critical Application Program Interface (API) integration for enhanced safety and security, Commissioner Osiyemi emphasized the significance of adhering to these standards.

Commissioner Osiyemi highlighted the urgency of immediate corrective action to address Uber’s non-compliance with the Data Sharing Agreement and API integration mandated by the state.

In light of this development, Uber users in Lagos State are advised to exercise caution as the impending sanctions may impact the company’s operations.

The LASG remains committed to maintaining a secure and regulated transportation landscape for the well-being of all Lagos State residents.

In a separate development, the leadership conference and awards ceremony recognized the Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) for his contributions to the successful delivery of the Blue and Red Rail Lines.
