Ram Trucks Australia has issued a recall for over 1400 vehicles in its lineup, including the 2023-24 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models. The recall stems from a concern regarding the indicator stalk, prompting the need for a software update.
According to the company’s recall notice, the issue lies with the steering column control module (SCCM) turn signal lever, which may fail to cancel properly when the steering wheel is rotated or manually switched off.
This malfunction could result in non-cancelling indicators or unintended activation of high beams, posing a safety risk to both the vehicle occupants and other road users. The affected vehicles, totaling 1436 units from the mentioned model lines, require a software update to rectify the issue.
Owners of the affected vehicles are urged to contact an authorized Ram dealer promptly to have the necessary update performed, which will be provided free of charge. For further inquiries or assistance, affected individuals can reach out to Ram Trucks Customer Assist at 1300 681 655.
