The Katsina State Government has taken proactive measures to fortify its border security by procuring and receiving 10 Proforce Wizard armored SUVs, a significant move aimed at strengthening the capabilities of its security forces in responding swiftly to threats and criminal activities.
These armored SUVs, manufactured by the Nigerian defense and armored vehicles producer Proforce Limited, boast advanced features tailored to enhance security operations. The introduction of the Proforce Wizard armored SUV dates back to 2020, marking a pivotal advancement in security infrastructure.
Equipped with Level B6+ protection, Heavy Duty Run-flat inserts, and an Armored Double Door at the rear, the Proforce Wizard ensures robust defense mechanisms crucial for confronting prevalent security challenges, particularly banditry and kidnapping, along Katsina’s borders.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda, in his announcement of the acquisition and delivery of these armored vehicles, underscored their significance in fulfilling the government’s commitment to safeguarding the state. He emphasized the pivotal role these assets would play in empowering security operatives to confront and neutralize threats effectively.
“During my electoral campaign, I pledged to prioritize the security of Katsina State residents. Today marks a significant milestone in fulfilling this promise as we welcome 10 Armored Personnel Carriers into our arsenal. These invaluable assets will bolster the capabilities of our security forces as they confront the scourge of banditry and kidnapping plaguing our state,” Governor Radda affirmed.
With these acquisitions, the Katsina State Government remains resolute in its determination to combat insecurity and restore peace and tranquility to the region. The Proforce Wizard, with its seating capacity of 2 in the front and 6 in the rear, powered by a 4.5L V8 engine, and equipped with a Dual Fuel Tank with a capacity of 90L each, represents a formidable asset in the state’s security architecture, promising enhanced operational efficiency in safeguarding the people and territory of Katsina State.
