Despite Musk marketing the Cybertruck as “apocalypse-proof,” Morrill highlights the need for the vehicle to roam freely without enduring further abuse. Musk has touted the Cybertruck as bulletproof to 9mm and .22 caliber firearms, although a version with thicker fixed-pane glass windows is yet to materialize. Numerous public tests have showcased the truck’s resilience, including torching, gunfire, and impact tests.
Despite the Cybertruck’s tough exterior, the extent of repair required for those who successfully damaged their vehicles remains unclear.
For now, some Cybertruck owners may wear their truck’s battle scars as a badge of honor, with some opting to leave bullet holes intact for aesthetic reasons.
