Former Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner has hinted at a potential reassessment within Red Bull following recent developments.
The team’s principal, Christian Horner, has faced scrutiny amid allegations of misconduct, prompting speculation about his future. While an internal investigation cleared him of any wrongdoing, the accuser has contested the findings and complained to the FIA.
The uncertainty surrounding Horner, as well as other key figures like Helmut Marko and Max Verstappen, has persisted since the controversy emerged. Verstappen’s father recently disclosed internal conflicts within the team, adding to the tumultuous atmosphere.
Steiner suggested that discussions among top executives within Red Bull GmbH will address the ongoing “turbulence,” as described by Marko in a recent interview. Steiner himself experienced a professional setback when he was removed from his role as Haas team principal due to poor performance.
“In the higher echelons of the company, there may be individuals reconsidering their positions,” Steiner stated in an interview with ABC Sports. “I hope, for the good of Formula One, that resolutions are reached, allowing us to move forward.”
