Continuing his strong performance from the previous season’s end, KTM’s Binder kicked off the 2024 campaign impressively. Securing second place in both the sprint and grand prix events in Qatar, Binder expressed satisfaction with the progress made by the KTM team from Saturday to Sunday.
Despite his desire to secure a grand prix victory, Binder acknowledged the perceived advantage held by Ducati’s factory riders in terms of pace. Reflecting on his last grand prix win at the 2021 Austrian GP, Binder remains optimistic about KTM’s potential, emphasizing the collective effort within the team.
With his solid start in the Portuguese GP, Binder currently holds second place in the championship standings, trailing leader Francesco Bagnaia by just two points.
