Reports have surfaced suggesting a potential return of Lancia to the World Rally Championship (WRC). As an iconic brand under the Stellantis Group, Lancia is undergoing a revival, with the recent launch of its all-electric Ypsilon hatchback and the reintroduction of its HF brand.
While the specifics of Lancia’s rally comeback remain uncertain, CEO Luca Napolitano hinted at the possibility during the HF brand launch event. If Lancia were to re-enter rallying, Rally4 appears to be the most feasible option initially.
Meanwhile, the FIA is implementing widespread reforms in top-level rallying, aiming to enhance competition and sustainability. These reforms include adjustments to technical regulations and the introduction of an electric category in the future.
