Adrian Hallmark, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bentley, is departing from the brand by his own request to join its rival, Aston Martin. His move will see him stepping into the role of CEO, replacing Amedeo Felisa, making him the third CEO of Aston Martin since Lawrence Stroll’s acquisition of the company in 2020.
Under Hallmark’s leadership, Bentley experienced a significant surge in sales, largely attributed to the successful launch of two luxury models, including the Bentayga SUV. This announcement comes as British luxury marque Aston Martin confirmed the appointment of Hallmark as their new Executive Director and CEO.
Hallmark, aged 61, will assume his new position no later than October 1, 2024, transitioning from his current role as Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, a position he has held since 2018.
Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, expressed his enthusiasm for Hallmark’s appointment, highlighting his exceptional leadership qualities and extensive experience in the ultra-luxury and British manufacturing sectors.
In response to Hallmark’s departure, Bentley Motors Ltd. confirmed his resignation, emphasizing that it was by mutual consent. During his tenure as CEO, Bentley witnessed remarkable sales growth, particularly with the introduction of flagship luxury models, notably the Bentayga SUV.
Gernot Döllner, chairman of the executive board of Audi and responsible for the Progressive Brand Group, commended Hallmark’s contributions to Bentley during his six-year tenure, acknowledging his significant impact on the company’s development.
Hallmark expressed his gratitude to the Bentley team for their achievements over the years, stating his readiness for new challenges. He also conveyed his admiration for Aston Martin’s brand transformation and expressed his eagerness to lead the company’s next chapter alongside Lawrence Stroll and the Aston Martin team.
