The media recently got to check out a not-yet-finished 2025 Polestar 4 car, and we found it interesting. It’s a cool mix between an electric car and a crossover, with a sleek design. This car is the fourth model released by the Polestar company, and that’s why it’s called the Polestar 4. It’s priced somewhere between the Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 models.
When the Polestar 4 goes on sale, there will be two versions available: the Long Range Single-Motor and the Long Range Dual-Motor. You can also choose from four optional packages, like the Pilot Pack and Performance Pack, to add extra features.
Here’s how the pricing looks:
– Long Range Single-Motor: $56,300
– Long Range Single-Motor with Pilot Pack: $57,800
– Long Range Single-Motor with Pro Pack: $58,300
– Long Range Single-Motor with Plus Pack: $61,800
– Long Range Dual-Motor with Pilot Pack: $64,300
– Long Range Dual-Motor with Pilot and Pro packs: $66,300
– Long Range Dual-Motor with Pilot and packs: $69,800
– Long Range Dual-Motor with Plus and Performance packs: $74,300
These prices include a $1,400 charge for delivery, but they don’t include any discounts you might get. Just for comparison, the Polestar 3 starts at $74,800, and the Polestar 2 starts at $51,300.
So, what do you get with these packs?
– Pilot Pack: Pilot Assist technology and Lane Change Assist function.
– Pro Pack: Special wheels, gold-colored valve stem caps and black seatbelts with a gold stripe.
– Plus Pack: A heads-up display, fancy mirrors, super adjustable seats, fancy upholstery, a special climate control system, rear-seat controls, a heated steering wheel, and a top-notch sound system.
– Performance Pack: Even fancier wheels, performance tires, special brakes, and a high-performance chassis.
The Dual-Motor version comes with the Pilot Pack as standard, and it’s the only way to get the Performance Pack. Every version of the car comes with features like a glass roof, adaptive cruise control, a fancy camera system, and a power trunk.
The rear-wheel-drive version of the car has one electric motor with 272 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. It takes about 7.4 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, and Polestar says it can go up to 300 miles on a single charge. The all-wheel-drive version has an extra motor at the front, making a total of 544 horsepower and 506 pound-feet of torque. It’s faster, going from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, but it can only go around 270 miles on a single charge. Both versions use a big battery that can charge quickly.
The Polestar 4 will be available to buy in April 2024, and deliveries will start in the fourth quarter of the same year. At first, it will be made in China, but starting in 2025, they’ll also make it in South Korea for the North American market.
