Connor Mosack, a racer with a background primarily in Late Models and the SCCA Trans Am Series, stepped into ARCA and NASCAR competitions in 2021. His breakthrough came last fall when he secured his first stock car victory in the ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas. Now, the 25-year-old Charlotte native is gearing up to return to the track, set to drive Spire’s No. 7 Chevrolet in the upcoming Truck race on May 4th.
Mosack’s racing calendar extends beyond May, with plans to compete in additional races with Spire. These include events on May 24th at Charlotte, July 12th at Pocono, September 27th back at Kansas, and October 26th at Homestead. Expressing his enthusiasm for the opportunity, Mosack credits Spire, Chevrolet, and PRG for providing him with this chance to showcase his talent.
The Spire team’s performance in the 2024 Truck season has been noteworthy, with their No. 7 team achieving one pole position, two wins, and five top-five finishes in the first seven races. They’ve led a significant number of laps with various drivers, including Corey LaJoie, Kyle Busch, Connor Zilisch, and Sammy Smith, underscoring their competitiveness.
In the previous season, Mosack demonstrated his racing prowess by competing in several ARCA Menards Series events, securing a 3.5 average finish over six races, highlighted by his victory at Kansas. Additionally, he made 24 starts in the Xfinity Series, achieving a career-best fifth-place finish at Watkins Glen, NY, last year.
Spire team president Doug Duchardt expressed confidence in Mosack’s abilities, citing his track record and versatility as key attributes. Duchardt emphasized Mosack’s proven track record and described him as a valuable addition to the team’s driver lineup. Mosack’s performances this season, including a fourth-place finish at Phoenix in both Trucks and ARCA, further validate his potential and suitability for the role.
