In the recent practice session for the IndyCar Indy GP, 22-year-old Lundgaard from Denmark secured the top position in the final moments with a fast lap.
Will Power briefly held the lead before Lundgaard’s late push, but he ended up just behind Lundgaard.
Power mentioned that the softer alternate tires made a difference in lap times compared to the first session. He believes tomorrow’s race will focus more on the pace set by these tires.
Scott Dixon came in third, while Scott McLaughlin, who led for much of the session, finished fourth.
Felix Rosenqvist continued his strong performance this season, finishing in fifth place.
Other drivers like Pato O’Ward and Marcus Armstrong also had solid performances, securing sixth and seventh places, respectively.
Turn 10 proved to be a tricky spot, causing some drivers including Tom Blomqvist and Alexander Rossi to encounter difficulties.
Although there were some spins and incidents, the session progressed without any major engine troubles unlike the earlier session in the day.
