In Germany, da Costa won his second race this season, but his victory in Misano was canceled because of a rule problem. He led most of the race.
Cassidy, who won the first race at Tempelhof Airport, finished second after passing Nissan’s Oliver Rowland with two laps left.
At the start, Jake Dennis was first, but Cassidy overtook him in Turn 1 and led for three laps.
Cassidy used his first Attack Mode early, like many others, to gain speed. The race was hectic, and keeping position was crucial, especially for Porsche, Jaguar, and Andretti teams leading the pack.
Maximilian Guenther crashed into the wall after being hit, causing a safety car for three laps.
Cassidy took the lead from da Costa after overtaking Evans and Wehrlein on lap 16, then passing da Costa on lap 21.
Evans took the lead briefly after using his final Attack Mode on lap 36, extending the race by three laps due to safety cars.
Another safety car was called on lap 25 when Norman Nato and Sacha Fenestraz crashed. Fenestraz retired, and Nato got a penalty.
Evans fought with Cassidy for third, letting Rowland and da Costa build a lead.
Cassidy passed Evans for third on lap 37, then overtook Rowland for second on lap 38.
But da Costa’s lead grew, and he won, with Cassidy second and Rowland third.
Behind them, Wehrlein and Dennis battled, with Wehrlein finishing fourth and Dennis fifth.
Evans came sixth, followed by Daruvala and Barnard. Eriksson finished ninth, and Vergne took the last point in tenth after using both Attack Modes.
