Luxury carmaker Genesis will reveal three new vehicles at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. These debuts will be for global, European, and UK markets.
While details are limited, one of the cars will be a concept making its first appearance on the Goodwood hillclimb, another will be seen in action for the first time in the UK, and the third will be displayed for the first time in Europe. This suggests that these vehicles may not be entirely new designs, so what can we expect?
Jonny Miller, Genesis Motor UK Brand Director, said, “2024 is a busy year for the brand, and there will be plenty of surprises in store for Goodwood visitors.” Recently, Genesis refreshed several models like the G70 and G80 sedans and the GV70 and GV80 crossovers. The GV80 is now available as a coupe, but at an event like Goodwood, we might see something more exciting, like the Magma high-performance concepts or the Neolun luxury SUV concept.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed always attracts a wide array of vehicles, and Genesis will be competing for attention with machines like the first-ever Red Bull hypercar and a new McLaren drift car for Mad Mike. Unfortunately, Genesis hasn’t confirmed which vehicles will be on display yet, so we’ll have to wait.
As Genesis aims to distinguish itself from Hyundai’s less luxurious image, returning to the Goodwood FOS stage could be a perfect opportunity to launch a line of Magma-branded production cars or a new luxury SUV. A production version of its Speedium supercar concept would also make a significant impact.
