A French group wants people to drive safer by saying “drive like a woman.”

The group, called Victimes & Citoyens, wants to change the idea that men are better drivers than women. They say this idea is wrong.

Their campaign looks at data from France about road safety from 2022 to 2023. They found that 84% of deadly accidents are caused by men.

In 2022, there were 3,550 deadly accidents in France, according to a government report.

The campaign says that for men to be safer drivers, they should drive like women.

They also looked at more data. They found that 88% of young drivers who died in accidents were men. Also, 93% of drunk drivers who caused accidents were men. Women are eight times less likely to die in accidents than men.

So, driving like a woman means staying alive, the group says.

The campaign will use ads in newspapers, online, and in subways. They will also use a chatbot on social media to talk about women driving.

In the U.S., more men die in car crashes than women. This has been happening since 1975. It’s because men usually drive more and take more risks, like speeding or not wearing seatbelts.

In the past, men had to pay more for car insurance because they were seen as riskier drivers.
