O’Neill worked as a sporting director and team manager at Haas in Formula 1 from 2014 to 2017. Now, he’s taking on a new role with Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR), where he’ll work with current team manager David Morgan.
Before his time at Haas, O’Neill spent seven years at Jordan in Formula 1, where he was a team manager and chief mechanic. Later, he helped set up the Virgin/Marussia team, which later became Manor, for its debut in 2010.
JHR says O’Neill will bring fresh ideas and help with their strategic investments in the NTT IndyCar Series. Ricardo Juncos, the founder of JHR, is excited to have O’Neill on board and looks forward to doing things differently with his expertise.
Currently, Juncos fields ex-Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean and Argentine touring car champion Agustin Canapino.
O’Neill is impressed by JHR’s willingness to try new things and is excited to be part of their future plans. He joins JHR from Esses Racing, where he was a managing partner and team principal. With his experience, including his time at Haas, he’s ready to lead alongside the team.
Brad Hollinger, co-owner of JHR, believes O’Neill’s appointment as team principal shows their commitment to building a winning team. He’s confident that O’Neill’s skills will help guide JHR to new successes.
