There’s a chance that Elon Musk might spend more time at the White House if Donald Trump becomes president again.
The two have been talking about a possible job for Musk if Trump wins the 2024 election, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Although it’s not clear what exactly the job would involve, sources familiar with the discussions told the Journal that they talked about ways to get Musk’s advice on border security and economic policies. However, they said that the job hasn’t been fully discussed yet and might not happen.
Even though Musk and Trump had differences in the past few years, Musk is reportedly trying to convince other wealthy people to stop supporting Joe Biden, according to the Journal. Musk is also working with investor Nelson Peltz on a plan to invest in a project that aims to prevent voter fraud by using data to ensure that votes are counted fairly.
Musk has been sharing his opinions about the Biden administration recently. In March, he said on social media that he used to vote for Democrats until a few years ago, but now he thinks that America needs a change. He also mentioned that he has no plans to donate money to either Trump or Biden.
However, before that, his biographer Walter Isaacson wrote in a book about Musk that the billionaire had called Trump one of the world’s best liars.
According to the Journal, Musk hasn’t agreed to support Trump officially yet.
But the Journal reported that Musk and Trump have been meeting and talking about various topics like immigration, technology, and the Space Force.
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign said that President Trump will decide what role someone will have in his presidency.
Elon Musk didn’t respond immediately when the media asked for a comment.
