Bentley has a new leader, and if you know about Porsche, you might recognize him. Frank-Steffen Walliser will become the Chairman and CEO of Bentley starting July 1st. He has lots of experience in making sports cars and supercars. He’s taking over from Adrian Hallmark, who left Bentley in March to join Aston Martin.
“I’m excited to join the team at Crewe. They’ve done great work in the past few years. The car industry is changing, and Bentley has to change too. I believe Bentley will still be a top luxury brand in the future.” – Frank-Steffen Walliser
Dr. Walliser studied mechanical engineering and worked at Porsche since 1995. He helped Porsche win races and led the team that made the 918 Spyder, a famous sports car. He also worked on other Porsche models like the 911 and 718. He’s got a lot of experience, which makes him a good fit for Bentley.
Bentley is changing too. They’re moving away from the W12 and V8 engines that made them famous. Instead, they’re making hybrid cars. They’re still powerful, but they use less fuel. The new Bentley Continental GT is going to be a hybrid. Dr. Walliser is the right person to lead Bentley into this new era while keeping the brand special.
