For the 2024 British Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing is giving their championship-leading RB20 a makeover that celebrates the team’s two-decade racing legacy.
This unique livery is the first of three planned for the season, with designs also in the works for Singapore and the US races.
Part of their Forever Rebl campaign, the British Grand Prix design isn’t a drastic change, but rather a striking red accent reminiscent of the team’s iconic 2015 “Camo Bull” pre-season testing livery.
Designed by Chalaj Suvanish from Thailand and dubbed “Stallion Red,” this fan-created livery makes the RB20 look even swifter.
Red Bull CEO Christian Horner emphasized the importance of fan involvement: “We’re thrilled to continue featuring fan-designed liveries on our cars in 2024.
The REBL CUSTMS program gives our fans a chance to unleash their creativity on the RB20. Their passion is what drives us, and we’re delighted to see their vision come to life.”
Suvanish, the winning designer, explained their inspiration: “The red color embodies the team’s spirit and strength, and the design reflects the flow-vis paint used in aerodynamic testing.”
While Red Bull boasts a significant lead in the Constructors Championship, there’s more to the story than just the RB20’s raw speed.
The car’s design, with its asymmetrical splashes of red, hints at a complexity that goes beyond initial impressions.
Although some might argue McLaren or Ferrari has the fastest car based on Sergio Perez’s performance, reigning champion Max Verstappen continues to pull ahead, suggesting the RB20’s true potential might be best realized in his hands.
This season is shaping up to be a close battle, with Mercedes even showing signs of resurgence.
