Honda is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated 2026 Honda Passport mid size crossover SUV, including the rugged TrailSport variant. This new model promises to raise off-road performance and versatility to new heights. Following a successful year, with sales surpassing one million units, Honda aims to continue its momentum with the introduction of the Passport.

The latest iteration of the Passport boasts enhanced off-road capabilities, thanks to features like 18-inch wheels, 31 inch all terrain tires, and a shorter front overhang. The TrailSport version, in particular, is designed to tackle challenging terrain with ease, featuring additional off road focused enhancements.

As Honda prepares to reveal the 2026 Passport and Passport TrailSport later this fall, the automaker is also previewing the extensive range of genuine accessories available for the new model. The 2026 Passport is set to debut with a host of new technologies, including the optional TrailWatch system that offers four camera perspectives (front, rear, side, and 360-degree) along with tire path and vehicle body guidelines.

Honda is also introducing the broadest range of Genuine Accessories ever, featuring rock sliders (standard on TrailSport), an aluminum front scuff plate, overlanding focused cargo accessories, and the integrated MOLLE storage system in the trunk.

Despite these upgrades, the 2025 Passport remains more expensive than its larger and newer sibling, the 2025 Pilot, with starting MSRPs of $42,400 and $40,200, respectively. Sales figures for the first three quarters of the year reveal a 29% decline compared to the same period last year, with less than 24,000 Passport units delivered.

Given this trend, a complete overhaul is crucial for Honda if the Passport is to compete effectively with rugged mid-size SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, Toyota Land Cruiser, and 4Runner.
