A first of its kind electric vehicle raised a staggering sum for charity at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. The very first 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, identified by its unique VIN 001, fetched a whopping $550,000 well over three times the price of a top of the line model.
This generous donation from Cadillac will benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund, an organization dedicated to improving educational opportunities for Detroit’s youth.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, an all-electric luxury SUV, boasts impressive performance and range. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 155 mph. Powered by a 200 kWh battery, it offers an estimated range of 460 miles on a single charge.
Inside, the Escalade IQ offers a luxurious and tech-filled cabin. The centerpiece is a massive 55-inch curved display, complemented by a 36-speaker AKG audio system. Second-row passengers can indulge in heated, ventilated, and massaging Executive Seats, along with a Rear Command Center.
The Escalade IQ is available in two trims: Luxury 1 and Sport 2. The Luxury 1 starts at $129,990 and comes standard with the 55 inch display and 24-inch wheels. The Sport 2, priced from $150,490, offers additional performance enhancements and customization options. With various optional packages and finishes, the Escalade IQ can easily exceed the $200,000 mark.
Cadillac is making a strong push into the electric vehicle market with a growing lineup of luxury offerings. The Cadillac LYRIQ, introduced in 2022, was the brand’s first electric vehicle. This mid-size crossover boasts an impressive range of up to 314 miles and comes in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
In 2024, Cadillac revealed the CELESTIQ, a flagship sedan replacing the CT6. This ultra-luxury vehicle offers a range of 300 miles and starts at a hefty price tag.
Most recently, Cadillac introduced the OPTIQ, a compact crossover with two variants: a Standard Range with a 333-mile range and a Long Range with a 373-mile range. The future looks electric for Cadillac, with the upcoming Vistiq three-row electric SUV set to join the lineup in early 2025.
