Despite some debate about recent design choices, BMW UK is celebrating a trophy haul for its latest vehicles. Critical acclaim has come from a variety of prestigious awards ceremonies. The 2 Series Coupe continues its dominance, winning “Best Sports Car” for the third year running at the 2025 Carbuyer New Car Awards.

The 330e wasn’t left out, taking the top spot for “Used Hybrid Car of the Year” at the What Car? Used Car of the Year awards. The recent Parkers New Car Awards saw a triple win for BMW, with the i7 (7 Series) named “Best Luxury Car,” the i4 retaining its “Best Company Car” title, and the previous generation 3 Series earning “Best Used Car” honors.

BMW’s commitment to sustainability was recognized at the Marie Claire Sustainability Awards, with the MINI Countryman (EV class) and the pioneering BMW iX5 Hydrogen fleet both receiving awards. The accolades continue with three wins at the What Car? Electric Car Awards, and the i5 Touring’s triumph at the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year awards.

2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for BMW and MINI, with a host of new models and updates on the horizon. BMW is introducing the new 123 xDrive, a mid-range option for the 1 Series, and upgrading the M135 xDrive with an exclusive M Technology Package.

The 5 Series Touring will also receive additional powertrain options, including the fuel-efficient 520i and the powerful 550e xDrive plug-in hybrid. The 550e xDrive boasts a potent inline-six engine and the latest eDrive technology, delivering 489 horsepower and a 0-62 mph time of just 4.4 seconds.

Additionally, BMW is increasing the AC charging rate for its plug-in hybrid models, including the 5 Series, X5 xDrive50e, and the all-new M5, reducing charging times. MINI, meanwhile, is expanding its personalization options with new exterior colors and wheel designs for the Classic, Sport, and Exclusive trims. British Racing Green and Sunnyside Yellow are now available across the entire MINI family.
