Jaguar has shared two new preview images of its upcoming Design Vision Concept, revealing how the brand will incorporate its reimagined Leaper logo in future vehicles. The images highlight an innovative feature: a rear-facing camera that might replace traditional side mirrors. This confirms a report from Autocar last year, which indicated that upcoming Jaguar models would use rear-view cameras instead of conventional mirrors.
The preview also suggests a significant departure from traditional design by eliminating the rear window altogether. This was initially hinted at by a teaser image released on November 20, aligning with the information from Autocar. The concept showcases a striking design with an exceptionally wide rear wheel arch and a bold combination of smooth curves and sharp, angular lines, hinting at a futuristic direction for the brand.
Notably, the preview images do not show conventional rear lights. Instead, the rear of the vehicle features slats that might obscure them, mirroring the design elements found in the new Leaper logo. This suggests that the concept could serve as a major showcase for Jaguar’s updated branding, with these slats possibly being a key visual element for future models.
The release of these images follows Jaguar’s rebranding announcement on November 19, which received strong reactions. JLR’s creative chief, Gerry McGovern, explained that the company aims to restore Jaguar’s status as a brand that enhances the lives of its customers. CEO Adrian Mardell referred to the rebranding as a “complete reset” and described the company’s future endeavors as “something spectacular.”
The full reveal of the Design Vision Concept is set for December 2 at Miami Art Week in Florida. This concept will preview a four-door electric GT, the first of three new models that will be launched in 2026. With over 575 horsepower, a range exceeding 430 miles, and a price tag above £100,000, the new electric GT is poised to rival models like the Porsche Taycan.
