The limited-run GR Yaris Morizo RR also comes with eye-catching matte bronze wheels and yellow brake calipers.
Toyota adds a host of lightweight carbon fiber components, including a fixed rear wing. Suspension and electric power steering systems have been optimized. Global production of the GR Yaris Morizo RR will be capped at just 200 units.
Just when it seemed the Toyota GR Yaris couldn’t get any more extreme, Toyota has revealed an even more hardcore variant at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Named the GR Yaris Morizo RR, it has been shown as a prototype but is already set to spawn a limited-run production model.
Sharing its name with the powerful Lexus LBX Morizo RR, the car retains the standard model’s 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, expected to deliver the same 300 hp (224 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) as the current Japan-spec GR Yaris.

To begin with, the Morizo RR receives a large carbon fiber rear wing, a new front splitter, and custom side skirts. Other upgrades include a lightweight carbon fiber hood, distinctive matte bronze wheels, and yellow brake calipers. The car also gets a unique paint finish called Gravel Khaki.
The new rear wing generates additional downforce, prompting Toyota to optimize the suspension for greater capability on uneven roads, including high-speed performance at the Nürburgring.
Toyota has also replaced the GR Yaris’s Gravel mode, which split power 53:47 front to rear, with a new Morizo mode, delivering a 50:50 front-to-rear power split. This mirrors the original GR Yaris’s now-defunct Track mode. Additionally, the electric power steering has been fine-tuned to match the car’s more aggressive dynamics.
Inside, the cabin showcases one of the most striking upgrades. The GR Yaris Morizo RR features a bespoke steering wheel inspired by motorsport design. Trimmed in Alcantara with yellow accents, the wheel incorporates custom switches for audio and cruise control. The instrument cluster also includes a custom gauge display tailored for this model.
Availability will be extremely limited. Toyota will produce just 100 units for the Japanese market and another 100 for select European markets. Japanese buyers will gain access through a lottery conducted via Gazoo’s smartphone app.
