Porsche’s latest one-off Macan concept draws inspiration from the sea, featuring marine-grade fabrics, wood trunk mats, and a compass in place of the usual clock, designed to promote an electric boat.
One-off Macan Turbo Concept Lago debuts at German boat show. Cabin includes wood floor mats and marine-style fabric seats. New 790 Spectre shares Macan EV powertrain, producing 536 hp.
Porsche and boats have shared a creative relationship for some time. The German automaker previously collaborated with Austrian builder Frauscher to create a high-speed electric boat. Now, the partnership continues with a smaller 790 Spectre vessel, accompanied by a one-off, nautically themed Macan concept.
No, the Macan Turbo Concept Lago can’t transition from road to water like a Gibbs Aquada or Amphicar 770. However, it borrows design and trim cues from the marine world, much like Frauscher’s boats incorporate the Macan’s motors and battery pack. And its floor mats might just be the most stylish ever seen.
Porsche tapped its Exclusive Manufaktur personalization catalog and its Sonderwunsch “special wish” department to imbue the concept with a distinctly salty character.

The exterior wears Darkteal Metallic paint from Porsche’s Paint to Sample program, paired with graphics linking the SUV to its boat counterpart. Even the keys match the same color palette.
Inside, the nautical influence grows stronger. Real wood reminiscent of boat decks lines the front and rear cargo areas, while the floor mats appear ready for bare feet. A compass replaces the traditional dashboard stopwatch, and the seat centers use marine-grade fabric accented with Crayon leather. Green contrast stitching completes the look, showcasing Porsche’s ability to customize nearly every detail.
The 790 Spectre, the boat that inspired the concept, shares the Macan Turbo’s 100 kWh battery and dual electric motor setup. While Porsche lists 630 hp (639 PS / 470 kW) for the SUV, the boat produces 536 hp (544 PS / 400 kW).
The hull has been redesigned to be lighter, and the cockpit incorporates Porsche styling cues, including the steering wheel and seat elements. Buyers can customize the boat with paint and materials to match their SUV.
The Concept Lago is a singular creation, unlike the 790 Spectre, which is available for order now. Pricing hasn’t been fully disclosed, but given that the earlier 850 Fantom Air cost around $600,000, this one is clearly targeted at affluent Porsche and boating enthusiasts. By comparison, a $112,700 Macan Turbo Electric may seem almost modest.
