With a price tag of $26,995, the CT5-V Blackwing’s latest package pushes the sedan’s cost beyond that of even the BMW M5.

The Deep Ocean Package brings exclusive styling upgrades to the CT5-V Blackwing for $26,995. Production is limited to 200 examples, driving the sedan’s price above that of the BMW M5.

Cadillac continues its push toward ultra-luxury with premium options and bespoke customization offerings. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing hardly needs an introduction. It stands as one of the most compelling V8-powered sports sedans currently on the market, blending brutal acceleration with exceptional handling.

More importantly, it represents one of the last traditional performance sedans to combine rear-wheel drive, a V8 engine, and a manual transmission. For enthusiasts of Cadillac’s performance flagship, the brand has now unveiled a new Deep Ocean Package, offered in limited numbers. While it doesn’t boost performance figures, it enhances the car’s visual presence and cabin experience, at a staggering cost.

The Deep Ocean Package carries a price of $26,995, which is more than the cost of a brand-new Chevrolet Trailblazer crossover. Although Cadillac has yet to release official images of the package, the list of included upgrades suggests a highly desirable aesthetic transformation.

Production of CT5-V Blackwing models equipped with the Deep Ocean Package is scheduled to begin in March, which explains why the option is not yet visible on Cadillac’s online configurator.

The two Carbon Fiber packages referenced above are currently available individually. The first is priced at $5,750 and adds carbon fiber components such as a front splitter and an additional rear aerodynamic spoiler. The second package expands the use of carbon fiber to include items like the grille header, rocker moldings, rear diffuser, and more.

The base price of the CT5-V Blackwing already sits at $98,900, meaning the addition of the Deep Ocean Package raises the total cost to $125,895. That figure surpasses the starting price of the BMW M5, which begins at $123,300.

While the BMW’s plug-in hybrid setup produces more power, 717 horsepower compared to the Blackwing’s 668 hp, it also carries significantly more weight and does not offer a manual transmission option.

Only 200 examples of the Deep Ocean Package will be produced, making it likely that all will be spoken for quickly once ordering officially opens.

A $26,995 option is the sort of pricing typically associated with brands like Porsche, where high-cost add-ons are the norm. Still, it underscores Cadillac’s broader strategy of moving deeper into the ultra-luxury and exotic space through its vehicles and ownership experiences.

One clear example is the Curated by Cadillac personalization program introduced last year for the CT5-V Blackwing. The initiative offers an unusually high degree of bespoke customization, placing it in the same conversation as brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Cadillac has also entered the ultra-luxury EV segment with the Celestiq, a handcrafted flagship with a price to rival those prestigious marques.

At the same time, the brand has expanded its high-end SUV lineup by electrifying the Escalade, introducing both the Escalade IQ and the even more exclusive Escalade IQL, which can exceed $150,000 when fully optioned.

Taken together, these moves make it clear that Cadillac is determined to challenge the industry’s most established luxury players and reclaim the prestige that once defined its golden era.
