Jeep has expanded its retro-themed lineup with the introduction of the Gladiator Whitecap, arriving a few months after the debut of the Wrangler Whitecap.

The new model represents the second special edition released under the brand’s Convoy campaign and applies a classic two-tone treatment to the midsize pickup.

The Whitecap package centers on exterior styling enhancements. A Bright White hardtop is paired with a matching Bright White grille surround, creating a distinct contrast against the body color.

White body-side stripes featuring “1941” badging reinforce the heritage theme, referencing Jeep’s origins.

The package is available on multiple trims, including the Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Mojave, and Mojave X.

On the Rubicon, Rubicon X, Mojave, and Mojave X, the design is further differentiated by a Bright White hood decal identifying the specific trim level.

The changes are cosmetic rather than mechanical, and pricing reflects that positioning. The Whitecap package carries a $495 premium on the Sahara, Rubicon X, and Mojave X.

For the Rubicon and Mojave, the same $495 package price applies, but buyers must also select body-color fender flares and a body-color Freedom Top.

The fender flares add $495, while the Freedom Top costs $1,895, bringing the total incremental cost to $2,885 on those trims.

Jeep states that the Gladiator Whitecap will reach dealerships this spring and will be produced in “limited quantities.” According to the company’s website, the special edition will be offered in eight exterior colors, including Bright White itself.

Under the hood, all Gladiator Whitecap models are powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, producing 285 hp (213 kW / 289 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel-drive system. In this configuration, the truck delivers a combined fuel economy rating of 19 mpg and offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,700 lbs (3,493 kg).

CEO Bob Broderdorf said the truck “offers a clear nod to Jeep heritage, rooted in 1941, and is built for today’s adventurers who value authenticity, individuality and real capability.”
