Volvo is introducing a new 110 kW powertrain and vehicle-to-load functionality to the EX30 for the forthcoming model year.
Volvo Cars has confirmed a series of updates for the EX30 ahead of the next model year. These include the addition of a new entry-level powertrain, the integration of vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, refreshed interior choices, and an expanded EX30 Cross Country lineup that will now feature a Plus trim and a single-motor configuration.
The newly added powertrain produces 110 kW (150 PS) and is paired with a 51 kW/h battery, delivering a driving range of 339 km. Buyers also have the option of specifying a larger 69 kW/h battery, which extends the maximum range to 476 km.
With the introduction of V2L functionality, the EX30 can now power external devices, including electric bicycles and camping equipment, through a compatible adapter, effectively allowing the vehicle to function as a mobile energy source.

Two new interior themes are being introduced. The ‘Harvest’ option features light-coloured recycled textile upholstery, while the ‘Black’ interior uses dark Nordico upholstery for a more understated appearance. The EX30 Black Edition is now offered with the new Black interior across three exterior paint finishes.
Volvo will also roll out a software update that brings a redesigned settings and controls interface, incorporating a customisable content bar. According to the company, both the V2L functionality and the updated user experience will be deployed to new and existing EX30 customers via over-the-air updates during the summer period.
Alexander Petrofski, Product Line Owner 30/40 at Volvo Cars, said: “By enhancing the user experience, introducing new premium interior options and adding smart technology like the possibility to transform the car into a powerbank for charging other electrical devices, we’re making everyday life easier and more enjoyable.”
