Porsche owners in the United States are now able to increase the performance of their 718 Cayman GT4 RS with an optional kit developed by Manthey, available exclusively through authorized Porsche Centers. The kit, designed to enhance track performance and driver confidence, will be professionally installed by Porsche Centers.
Moreover, both U.S. Porsche Experience Centers will offer public drive programs featuring examples of the upgraded model. Renowned for their expertise on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Manthey has consistently delivered exceptional track results for road cars through meticulously crafted kits. The latest offering in the U.S. enhances the capabilities of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, building upon its already impressive performance.
In 2023, Jörg Bergmeister achieved an astounding Nordschleife lap time of 7:03.121 minutes with a Manthey-equipped 718 Cayman GT4 RS, slashing more than six seconds off the standard car’s lap time from the previous year. Powered by a potent 493-horsepower 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, the 718 Cayman GT4 RS promises an exhilarating driving experience with exceptional track credentials.
The Manthey kit introduces comprehensive aerodynamic revisions, nearly doubling downforce at 124 mph. Front Spring rates are increased by 20 percent, and carbon fiber reinforcements are added to the engine cover to accommodate the larger rear wing. The adjustable wing, now featuring four positions, enhances setup flexibility for drivers. At 124 mph, the Performance position increases total downforce from 196 lbs. to 372 lbs., significantly enhancing stability and grip.
Porsche and Manthey collaborated to develop a specialized coilover suspension system for the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, offering four adjustable positions for the spring struts and customizable rebound and compression stages. Steel brake lines are included to improve brake feel and power delivery, while optional towing loops cater to track enthusiasts.
The Manthey kit will be available for order through authorized Porsche Centers in the U.S. starting in Summer 2024, priced at $53,946 excluding installation costs. Customers can opt for a supplementary package at an additional $5,890, which replaces the front fender louvers and enhances the rear ducktail spoiler with a larger gurney flap made of visible carbon fiber.
This addition increases rear axle downforce by up to four percent in the most aggressive wing position. Both Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles will offer driving programs featuring the 718 Cayman GT4 RS equipped with the Manthey Kit.
