Porsche is reviving the 911 Carrera T for 2025, and this version is exclusively available with a manual transmission.
The automaker describes the Carrera T as “an excellent dance partner for winding roads,” appealing to driving enthusiasts who prefer a hands-on experience. This model is particularly popular among purists who appreciate the traditional driving feel that a manual provides.
The new Carrera T will come in both coupe and convertible styles. It features the same powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine as the standard 911 Carrera, producing 388 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque.
With this engine, the coupe can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, while the convertible takes a bit longer at 4.5 seconds. The top speeds are impressive too, reaching 183 mph for the coupe and 182 mph for the cabriolet.
One standout feature of the manual transmission is a unique walnut ball shift knob, adding a stylish touch to the interior.
The Carrera T also includes Sport-Tex seats with a black plaid pattern, enhancing its sporty aesthetic. For those who appreciate smooth driving, the car comes with an auto-blip feature that automatically matches the engine speed to the transmission for smoother downshifts.
Weight savings are a key focus for the Carrera T, as Porsche has stripped away unnecessary components to create a lighter vehicle. The coupe weighs in at just 3,316 pounds, thanks to lightweight glass and reduced sound-deadening materials.
It also features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), lowering the car by 10 millimeters for improved handling. Enhanced brakes with larger discs and six-piston calipers further contribute to the vehicle’s sporty performance.
Orders for the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T are now open, with deliveries expected to start in the summer. The coupe has a starting price of $135,995, while the convertible is priced at $149,295.
This pricing places it above the base Carrera but offers significant added value, making it an attractive option for those seeking a thrilling driving experience.
The 2025 Carrera T is a welcome addition to the Porsche lineup, and fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival on the roads.
