Tesla recently revealed its highly anticipated “Spring Release,” featuring a revamped user interface dubbed V12. This update, delivered as the 2024.14 software update, brings a host of new features and optimizations to the Tesla fleet.
Known for its pioneering over-the-air updates, Tesla continues to push the boundaries of automotive software. The V12 user interface introduces expanded Autopilot visualizations and design elements inspired by the Cybertruck UI, enhancing the user experience for Tesla owners worldwide.
One of the most notable improvements is the integration of a new tablet-based fire control system for the Tesla Cybertruck, enhancing the control and precision of the vehicle’s functions. Additionally, the update offers full-screen visualizations for Tesla EVs equipped with AMD Ryzen processors, delivering a seamless and immersive driving experience.
Despite the excitement surrounding the V12 user interface, it’s important to note that it does not include the much-anticipated Full Self-Driving (FSD) V12. While Tesla has hinted at integrating newer FSD builds in future updates, the focus of the 2024.14 release remains on enhancing the user interface and whole performance.
Tesla owners can expect additional features such as automatic rerouting for faster routes, improved wiper controls, and enhanced information display on the rear screen. Furthermore, European customers will now have access to full-screen visualizations, which is the first for Tesla outside of North America, further expanding the reach of Tesla’s cutting-edge technology.
With the Spring Release, Tesla continues to lead the way in automotive innovation, setting new standards for software-driven vehicles and reaffirming its commitment to delivering unparalleled driving experiences to its customers.
