If you want a fancy trailer to match your new Tesla Cybertruck, Living Vehicle has just what you need: the CyberTrailer. It’s a futuristic camper that costs $175,000, almost the same as a brand-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63. But what makes it worth all that money?
Well, it’s not just a regular camper van. Living Vehicle calls it a mobile charging station. It has its own energy from solar panels and backup systems, so you can go off-grid without worrying about power.
This is especially useful when you’re towing an electric vehicle like the Cybertruck. Towing heavy loads can affect the Cybertruck’s range, but the CyberTrailer helps by providing extra power. Living Vehicle founder Matthew Hoffmann says, “The main limitation to current all-electric RV design is charging and utility infrastructure.” The CyberTrailer doesn’t need RV parks or charging stations.
The CyberTrailer also has a special water system. It takes moisture from the air and turns it into usable water for the RV. Plus, it recycles water and waste, so you can camp without making a mess.
Living Vehicle hasn’t shown us the inside yet, but they promise more pictures and details soon. They say the CyberTrailer is perfect for electric vehicles like the Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning. But if you have a gas or diesel truck, you can still use it.
Amazingly, 80% of the CyberTrailer reservations are already sold out. You can reserve one with a $100 deposit, and deliveries start in 2025. If you can’t wait, there are other expensive trailers out there. The Bowlus Volterra costs $310,000, but it’s luxurious and classic. Or you could go for the Lightship L1, which is cheaper at $125,000.
