Get ready for a buzz of excitement! Volkswagen’s electric minivan, the ID. Buzz is coming to the US in 2025. Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect.

The ID. Buzz will come in three flavors: Pro S, Pro S Plus, and a special 1st Edition (only available in the first year). All will have a 91-kWh battery, but we don’t know the driving range yet. You can also choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) with 282 horsepower or all-wheel drive (AWD) with 335 horsepower. However, the base Pro S only comes in RWD.

Depending on the trim you choose, the ID. Buzz can seat either 6 or 7 people. The base Pro S comes with a bench seat in the back for 7 passengers. The Pro S Plus offers a choice of a bench seat or individual captain’s chairs for 6 people. The AWD Pro S Plus only comes with captain’s chairs. The special 1st Edition follows the same pattern – 7 seats with RWD and 6 seats with AWD.

The Pro S Plus trim comes with some neat extras, like a panoramic sunroof, a fancy sound system, a head-up display, a cargo system, and even a tow hitch.

The 1st Edition is a special launch-year version of the ID. Buzz. It will only be available in a two-tone paint job, with unique wheels, roof rails, and special badging. The interior will also have a unique coastal theme and special floor mats. If you buy a 1st Edition, you’ll even get some exclusive gifts!

The US version of the ID. Buzz will be a long-wheelbase (LWB) model, which means it will be a little bigger than the standard version available in Europe. It will also have a slightly bigger battery (91 kWh vs 82 kWh)

We’ll know more about the price and driving range closer to launch, but for now, the ID. Buzz is shaping up to be an exciting electric option for families who need a lot of space!
