First, customers can get a $7,500 tax credit. Then, Volkswagen increased the Customer Bonus, which can now range from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the trim. Earlier, these bonuses were between $500 to $5,500.
The amount of discount varies based on the model you choose. For example, the base ID.4 gets a $12,500 discount, while the ID.4 Pro AWD has a total savings of $14,000. The Pro S RWD offers $15,000 off, while the Pro S AWD and Pro S Plus RWD models have a total of $16,500 in savings.
The biggest discount goes to the Pro S Plus AWD, which gets $17,500 off with the Customer Bonus, amounting to a 31% discount off the MSRP. Lease offers also show a $11,250 Customer Bonus for the Pro S Plus AWD, combined with the $7,500 incentive, bringing the total savings up to $18,750.
These discounts apply only to the 2023 ID.4 trims, as Volkswagen is clearing out inventory. If you’re looking for a good deal on an affordable electric crossover, now is the time to get the 2023 ID.4. Volkswagen has updated the ID.4 for the 2024 model year, but if you can do without those upgrades, the 2023 model offers better financial value.
However, if you prefer the latest model year, the $7,500 EV Lease Bonus is still available for the 2024 model. The ID.4 starts at $39,735, with the top-spec AWD Pro S starting at $53,875.
