Australian Army developing autonomous technology for vehicle convoy system

The Australian army has started developing a new driving technology

It will follow the leader-follower concept

In which a single driver will be able to lead a convoy of driverless vehicles…

Reducing the no. of people exposed to attack and will also require fewer members to supply goodies.

Is the testing of the system begun

The Royal Australian Air Force Base in Melbourne’s west has already started the testing of the system

To check the effectiveness of the system, man trucks are driven to remote areas

the project will focus on developing a similar system to drive on public roads

The ARRB states that the system aims to create a scenario in which vehicles are driven in a convoy from an airport to the field area with deliverable supplies
