Florida Law Makes Loud Car Music and Exhausts Illegal!
By Ritesh B
It is a common practice, especially among youngsters, to
modify the car components.
They particularly modify the
sound system and the exhaust
to make it sound more loud.
But the
Florida Legislature has decided to curb these noises
as they are disturbing to the citizens.
On July 1, a fresh Florida law became effective that makes it
illegal to blast loud music
in a moving vehicle.
The Law states that the music should not be heard from more than
25 feet away.
The fines can go upto $114!
The Florida law also prohibits shaking silencers and
loud exhaust pipes.
To evaluate sound production, the city is thinking of deploying
noise-detecting sensors
.
