The American automotive group Lucid Motors is out with high performance and a large battery range to rip off all the competitors. This new EV by Lucid has one of the highest ranges among all the other electric vehicles. This new electric vehicle is named 2022 Lucid Air. It will be launched as the 2022 model. Air is the first electric vehicle of Lucid Motors. Therefore, this electric vehicle will direct competition to the tech-based company, Tesla.
Lucid Motors was founded in 2007 by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng. This American-based company focuses on producing electric vehicles. Air is the first vehicle by Lucid Motors. Power And Performance Of The Luxury EV Sedan
Lucid Air is available in six variants, and the base variant comes with a single electric motor with a rear-wheel setup. This single motor sedan produces 480 horsepower, which is a good amount of power if we talk about only one motor. The rest of the models get a dual motor setup except for the base variant. The next trim on the list is Touring, which offers a power of 620 ponies.
Grand Touring, the next variant in the lineup, brings along 1050 horsepower. Each variant gets different power and performance. Dream Edition and Dream Edition Performance are the top variants that bring along 933 and 1111 horsepower, respectively. The Dream Edition Performance model cracked a speed of 60 mph from the still position in just 2.6 seconds. On the other hand, Grand Touring delivered the same acceleration in 3.0 seconds.
The highest range among all the variants comes in the Dream Edition Range model. It has a range of 520 miles, while the Performance trim claims about 471 miles. Also, Mid trims and the base variant have a range of 406 miles.
Lucid Air: Features And Interiors
Lucid’s Air is an example of a luxurious piece of machine. It brings along a premium cabin with high-tech features. It gives a lot of space, especially in the rear, where you will get a huge rear seat. Air gets an option of adding recliner seats at the rear instead of the standard large seats. The roof of the Air is made out of glass which helps the cabin look more roomy and free. Lucid has made no mistake in providing luxury to the center console. It gets a storage space with a large touchscreen as an additional controller.
Air will come with a voice-recognition system that will help you to change music, temperature, and various other controls. In addition to the tech-based features, a few safety features are adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automated emergency braking system.
