Polestar has introduced updated pricing for its electric SUV, the Polestar 3, now offering additional variants at reduced prices.

Formerly priced at $83,900, the entry-level Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor now starts at $73,400 and includes the Pilot Pack as standard. This package encompasses features like Park Assist Pilot, a head-up display, Land Change Assist, and various driver assistance systems.

For $78,900, the Long Range Dual Motor variant comes with both the Pilot Pack and Pack, featuring a premium 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, 21-inch wheels, heated rear seats, and a choice between animal welfare wool or bio-attributed MicroTech upholstery.

With a robust powertrain delivering 489 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, the Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor offers an estimated range of 315 miles.

The new pricing strategy enhances the Polestar 3’s appeal further. For just $500 more ($79,400), customers can opt for the Performance Pack, incorporating 22-inch forged Performance wheels, Polestar chassis tuning, and Swedish gold accents.

A software update boosts power outputs to 517 hp and 671 lb-ft of torque, enabling a swift 4.6-second acceleration to 60 mph. This variant boasts a range of 279 miles.

At the top end, the fully-equipped Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor with Pilot Pack, Plus Pack, and Performance Pack is priced at $84,900. Despite its premium cost, it remains competitive against rivals like the BMW iX xDrive50 and the Mercedes EQE 500 SUV.

Furthermore, customers opting for a lease will receive a Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive of $7,500, provided as a non-cash credit.

Anticipated deliveries of the Polestar 3 are slated to commence in the second quarter of 2024. In the interim, potential buyers can configure their Polestar 3 on the brand’s website.

While production initially began in China, local manufacturing for the US market is expected to commence later this year in South Carolina. The Polestar 3 marks the first Polestar vehicle to be manufactured on two continents, reflecting the increasing demand for the brand’s offerings.

Despite initial delays, production tests in the US have already occurred, signaling the company’s commitment to delivering a quality product to its customers.
