Daniel Ricciardo had a tough time in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He didn’t do well in qualifying compared to his teammate Yuki Tsunoda. Red Bull’s motorsport advisor, Marko, didn’t hold back in his assessment. He wrote in his column that both Ricciardo and Tsunoda have a lot at stake this season, especially Ricciardo, who needs to improve soon.

Ricciardo is used to Marko’s blunt comments about drivers. He understands that he needs to do better, even without Marko’s criticism.

When asked if Marko’s comments bothered him before his home race, Ricciardo said no. He knows that part of his job is not just driving but also facing criticism and scrutiny.

Ricciardo is hard on himself. He believes he can perform better and prove himself on the track. He wants to make himself and his supporters proud.

Despite wanting better results, Ricciardo acknowledges the tight competition in the midfield. Small mistakes can make a big difference in qualifying positions. He takes responsibility for his performance and knows he needs to improve.

Ricciardo’s tough start to the season comes at a time when he hopes to secure a seat at Red Bull for next year. However, he’s not thinking about the future right now. His focus is on doing better for Red Bull in the current season.

While returning to Red Bull would be a satisfying full-circle moment for Ricciardo, he’s taking things one race at a time. He’s grateful to be back in the sport after uncertainty about his future. Right now, he’s focused on giving his best and seeing where it takes him.
