Terrible news! A Singapore Airlines plane flying from London to Singapore hit really bad air bumps, and at least one person died. The plane, flight number SQ321, had to land in Bangkok instead of Singapore because of an emergency.

We don’t know all the details yet, but here’s what we do know. The plane was a Boeing 777, and it took off from London a little late. It was flying normally for a while, but then it suddenly changed course and started going down towards Bangkok. This makes it seem like the bad air bumps happened around that time. The plane sent out an emergency code and landed safely in Bangkok.

This particular plane had been parked for a while and just started flying with passengers again last month.

Planes hitting rough air can be dangerous. Normally, it’s just a little bump or a shaky feeling, but sometimes the air bumps can be really strong and throw the plane around. This can cause things in the cabin to fly around and hurt people, which is why flight attendants tell you to keep your seatbelt on all the time.
