The anticipated introduction of the 2024 KTM Factory Edition at Glen Helen Raceway was met with unexpected rainfall, prompting an impromptu relocation for Dirt Bike’s video test series.

Undeterred, we loaded up the bike and ventured into the hills, eager to glean insights from our primary test rider, Sean Lipanovich, who had fully recovered from a leg injury sustained during the 2023 Motocross of Nations.

The focal point of our examination revolved around the new frame, rumored to possess a slightly reduced rigidity compared to its predecessor. This adjustment stems from meticulous attention given to the top shock mount and the steering head.

The bike flaunts the distinctive Factory Edition aesthetics, featuring standout elements such as the Akrapovic exhaust, the factory wheelset, and the split triple clamps.

In a noteworthy upgrade, KTM has integrated transmitting hardware into the bike, facilitating seamless connectivity with the KTM Connect smartphone app. This innovative feature empowers riders to fine-tune the motor, offering full telemetry for comprehensive analysis. Notably, the 2024 edition marks the inaugural integration of LitPro riding data, elevating the bike’s technological capabilities.

Join us on our journey through the picturesque hills of Southern California as we delve deeper into the intricacies of the KTM 450 Factory Edition and uncover the advancements that set it apart in the realm of off-road excellence.
