Krish Rajan’s passion for motorcycling has been a lifelong pursuit, growing stronger over time. After studying in North America and returning to India to work for an IT company, Krish eventually found himself in Chennai, where he began exploring customization as a side venture.
Establishing KR Customs, Krish was joined by a father-and-son duo with extensive mechanical experience. Together, they embarked on various custom bike projects, including their fourth endeavor, which originated from a client’s request for a vintage-style bobber with modern elements.
Starting with a Royal Enfield Classic 500, the team set out to transform it into the envisioned bobber. Upgrades included replacing the rear suspension with a monoshock conversion, crafting a bespoke swingarm, and integrating a lithium-ion battery into a custom metal box.
Changes to the bodywork included fitting a Triumph Street Twin fuel tank, handmade fenders, and a circular LED taillight. Powertrain modifications included installing a premium air filter, reshaping the exhaust muffler, and enhancing the throttle mechanism.
The bike’s aesthetics were further enhanced with a Bates-style headlight, LED turn signals, and a revamped paint job featuring a black-and-white livery with red accents. The completed bobber exceeded the client’s expectations and showcased Krish’s dedication to customization.
