Harley-Davidson Glide 2024: Power, Tech, and Style Revamped

Harley-Davidson has unveiled updates to its 2024 lineup, with significant revisions to the Street Glide and Road Glide models. These revisions mirror many of the upgrades introduced in the CVO Street Glide and Road Glide variants from the previous year, both of which return unchanged for 2024.

The headline feature for both models is the introduction of the larger Milwaukee-Eight 117 powerplant, featuring new liquid-cooled cylinder heads and a revamped cooling system. This upgrade represents a significant improvement over last year’s models, boasting increased power output to 105 hp and 130 lb.-ft. of torque (claimed).

Both models also receive a new infotainment system, complete with a 12.3-inch TFT color touchscreen and a 200-watt audio amplifier powering fairing-mounted speakers. The menu navigation now includes four ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport, and Custom.

Visually, the fairings have been updated with modern styling cues, offering improved air management while retaining the classic batwing and shark nose profiles. The fuel tanks feature a new shape, and the seats have been redesigned for enhanced comfort during long rides.

On the suspension front, both models receive a new 49mm Showa fork with Dual Bending Valve internals and preload-adjustable dual shocks, enhancing ride quality and handling.

Larger brake rotors and radial-mount calipers improve stopping power. These updates, coupled with claims of increased power, lighter weight, and enhanced comfort, position the Street Glide and Road Glide as formidable options in Harley-Davidson’s 2024 lineup.
