Those who push their gear to the limit will have encountered challenges with these components,” adding, “Until recently this fragile system was considered necessary for utilizing multiple gears.
However, our new automatic transmission removes both of those failure points. By shifting internally, we no longer need a derailleur, this also allowed us to utilize a moto-style chain which is virtually impossible to break.”

The Apex HD and HD e-bikes use motorcycle chains, which are much stronger and more durable than traditional bicycle chains, ensuring you won’t get stranded in the wilderness due to a broken chain. These robust chains can handle the high torque produced by the powerful motors.
QuietKat also upgraded the suspension systems on the Apex HD and HD. The bikes feature inverted KKE Air-Suspension Forks with 120mm of travel at the front, making it easy to navigate tough terrain. The Kenda Juggernaut 26″ x 4.8″ fat tires provide excellent grip and stability on various surfaces.
