The trend of e-bikes is catching the attention of power sports enthusiasts as the lines between bicycles and motorcycles continue to blur. Models like the Surron and Ubco boast features and specifications that appeal to a wide range of riders.

One standout company in this evolving market is QuietKat, which has been releasing e-bikes with advanced technology and impressive capabilities. Their latest models, launched today, are particularly noteworthy for their revolutionary features, including an incredible range of up to 90 miles.

QueitKat Releases new e-bikes for hunting gear junkie

Introducing the QuietKat Apex HD and HD. These new e-bikes are packed with features that go beyond just extending range. First up, let’s talk about that range—90 miles, thanks to QuietKat’s powerful 30Ah battery located in the downtubes of the Apex HD and HD.

This battery powers either a 1000w VPO 2.0 Automatic Shifting hub drive or a mid-drive motor, delivering up to 147 pound-feet of torque. The bikes also come with two new modes: Stealth and Climb.

Stealth mode ensures quiet operation, ideal for hunting or riding through residential areas without disturbing others. Climb mode provides extra power for towing or tackling steep hills and mountains.

One of the most exciting features is the new automatic transmission. This internally geared system “eliminates the common derailleur issues, offering seamless shifting without the risk of jamming or breakage.”

QuietKat’s Logan Holtz explains, “Over the past decade, a majority of issues with all offroad eBikes have centered around two factors: #1 broken or bent derailleurs and #2 snapped chains. The vulnerable position of derailleurs just isn’t conducive to offroad or backcountry use.

Those who push their gear to the limit will have encountered challenges with these components,” adding, “Until recently this fragile system was considered necessary for utilizing multiple gears.

However, our new automatic transmission removes both of those failure points. By shifting internally, we no longer need a derailleur, this also allowed us to utilize a moto-style chain which is virtually impossible to break.”

Yes, you read that correctly. The Apex HD and HD e-bikes use motorcycle chains, which are much stronger and more durable than traditional bicycle chains, ensuring you won’t get stranded in the wilderness due to a broken chain. These robust chains can handle the high torque produced by the powerful motors.

QuietKat also upgraded the suspension systems on the Apex HD and HD. The bikes feature inverted KKE Air-Suspension Forks with 120mm of travel at the front, making it easy to navigate tough terrain. The Kenda Juggernaut 26″ x 4.8″ fat tires provide excellent grip and stability on various surfaces.

As for pricing, QuietKat has kept their new models reasonably affordable given their advanced features. The hub-driven Apex HD is priced at $3,299, while the mid-driven Apex HD costs $4,999. These bikes are now available for order and will start shipping in June.

QuietKat’s new Apex HD and HD e-bikes push the boundaries of what e-bikes can do, offering impressive range, robust construction, and innovative features that make them ideal for off-road adventures.
