At the forefront of innovation in their Wroclaw workshop, a striking new creation has emerged, capturing attention with its unique allure. Embarking on their latest venture, they have chosen the 2019 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 as their starting point. With its liquid-cooled 1,200cc parallel-twin engine producing 96 horsepower and nearly 83 pound-feet of torque, this model offers a solid foundation for their craftsmanship.
Over the past decade, the workshop has undergone steady expansion, broadening its expertise and delivering an array of exceptional machines. Highlighted on their website, Grzegorz and his team have successfully executed over 200 custom projects, a testament to their expertise and dedication in the industry.
Unikat’s skilled artisans have started refining the suspension system, starting with the disassembly of the 41 mm cartridge forks’ internals and the substitution of the OEM shock absorbers with high-performance Bitubo components. The factory wheels were exchanged for lighter Kineo substitutes, complemented by K73 rubber from Heidenau, perfectly suited for the scrambler-style Speed Twin.
While the engine’s internal workings remained untouched, Unikat raised the exhaust system by fitting custom-built reverse megaphone silencers to the stock headers. The bike’s original airbox remained intact, ensuring optimal airflow without compromising performance. However, the focus of their revamp extended beyond mechanical improvements to include aesthetic enhancements.
Inside the cockpit, Unikat’s attention to detail was evident, with the installation of a flat handlebar, leather grips, billet aluminum control levers, and Motogadget accessories enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The lighting setup, featuring multi-function LEDs and strategically placed turn signals, ensured visibility and safety without compromising the bike’s sleek profile.
Completing the transformation was the meticulous paint job, where a blend of black with striking gold accents raised the Speed Twin’s visual allure. The infusion of gold highlights, meticulously applied to rims, hardware, and bodywork, added a touch of elegance, accentuating the bike’s timeless appeal.
