BMW has been working hard to update its small sporty cars. We’ve already seen the new 2025 4 Series and 2025 M4 Coupe. Now, it’s time for the 3 Series to get an update. The M3 is leading the way this time, but the changes for 2025 are not very big.
The M3 won’t have more power or a big change in how it looks. The manual version of the M3 has 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The automatic version, called the M3 Competition, has 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The top-of-the-line M3 Competition xDrive will have 20 more horsepower, just like the M4 Competition xDrive. There’s also a special CS model coming, which should have even more horsepower.

The lack of big changes in how it looks is because BMW is making small changes over time. The M3 is not old enough for a completely new design yet. If you’ve seen the updates to the 4 Series, you won’t be surprised by the changes to the 3 Series. Outside, there are small changes like new LED lights, but most of the car looks the same.
Inside, the big change is the new Curved Display. It’s a big screen that shows all the information you need. It’s powered by a new system called BMW Operating System 8.5. There are still buttons on the side of the screen, but now there’s a feature called QuickSelect to help you find things faster. You can also use voice commands to control some things with the BMW Personal Assistant.
