Tesla Model X
The Model X is an electric sedan by Tesla. It was introduced in 2015, and it is successfully running in production. Model X is built on the same platform as Model S. The Model S is the full-size sedan by Tesla and has falcon-wing doors. Model S is one of the most expensive Tesla. Model X is built in the California factory along with the Model S. The Model X also gets double-hinged passenger falcon doors.
This electric sedan comes with four different battery packs. The best battery pack is 100kWh, which takes 2.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to sixty mph. Tesla has always offered fast and reliable cars. Models x comes with an all-wheel-drive system of two motors. These motors and battery packs produce 259 horsepower on each motor. At the same time, the performance version comes with 259 horsepower at the front motor and 503 horsepower at the rear. Autopilot is offered as a standard feature in this electric car, while it gets an optional self-driving system.
Tesla Model Y
Another electric vehicle by Tesla. Model Y is a compact crossover SUV. It was introduced in the market in 2020. It is a younger version of Tesla with better specs and designs. This electric crossover comes with optional third-row seats. Model Y comes in with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive setups. The top variant, the Performance version, brings along a range of 319 miles, while the rear-wheel drive variant offers 282 miles. The performance version takes 3.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to sixty mph. The rear-wheel drive variants were later on canceled.
Comparison Of The Two Electric Cars
First, let’s talk about the most important factor in an electric vehicle, range. Model Y comes with a range of 319 miles, whereas Model X gets 303 miles. The Model Y has a better range. Next up is the price. Model X is the elder brother and gets a much bigger price tag. It comes for $122,190, while the Model Y is almost half of the X’s price. Model Y is offered for $67,190. The younger brother, Model Y, gets three-row seating, whereas the elder brother offers only two rows of seats as it is a sedan. We don’t have to compare the performance as the Model X is way too ahead of the Y. Model X takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to sixty mph while Model Y takes 3.5 seconds.
