Porsche Mission X: Future Electric Supercar Updates

Porsche celebrated its 75th birthday in 2023 by showing off the Mission X, a cool electric supercar that might hit the streets soon. The big boss of Porsche, Oliver Blume, says they’re thinking about making it, especially since people loved it when they saw it last June.

This could be Porsche’s fourth supercar ever, joining the 959, Carrera GT, and the 918 Spyder. The Mission X is about 15 feet long, 6.5 feet wide, and less than 4 feet tall. It’s got big wheels and the battery sits behind the seats. It’s super fast, with at least one horsepower for every 2 pounds it weighs.

Porsche says it can make more downforce than their other fancy cars and charges faster than the current Taycan. But they haven’t said exactly how much power it has yet. Some people guess around 1,500 to 1,700 horsepower, and it probably has two motors, one for each set of wheels.

If they make it, the Mission X aims to be the quickest road-legal car at the Nürburgring track. It’ll be a hot item for collectors, and if it gets the go-ahead this year, we might see it on the roads by 2026.

Not many will be made, following Porsche’s tradition of limited production runs, similar to their past supercars like the 918 Spyder and the Carrera GT.
