The Cybertruck’s customization options have recently expanded beyond the limited choices of White and Black. Tesla now offers a new option: Rose Gold.
Initially, customers were confined to choosing between Satin Stealth Black and Satin Ceramic White for wrapping their Cybertrucks due to the challenges of painting stainless steel.
Ahead of the official handover event, the Stealth Black option was showcased by Tesla’s design chief, Franz von Holzhausen, at a Cars and Coffee event in Los Angeles.
Now, Tesla presents three additional choices: Slip Grey, Satin Abyss Blue, and Satin Rose Gold. Wrapping a Cybertruck in grey, black, or white costs $6,000, while opting for Blue or Rose Gold will cost $6,500.
These wraps, which are self-healing and thicker than standard vinyl, protect against scratches and can cover every surface of the Cybertruck. Unfortunately, Tesla does not currently offer the camo wrap that was showcased before the handover event.
Although all colors are currently labeled as “out of stock” on the Tesla Shop website, they are available through the company’s app. Customers can access the colors menu by scanning the QR code on the website.
The purchase price includes both materials and installation in California. Therefore, owners outside California will need to visit locations in West Covina, Costa Mesa, or Santa Clara for installation unless they have access to a local shop capable of performing the wrap.
Some customers may not want to wait for Tesla to introduce wrap colors at potentially higher prices. Numerous examples of Cybertrucks wrapped in daring shades already exist, indicating a demand for more unconventional options despite Tesla’s current conservative offerings.
