Hennessey Unleashes H700 C8 Corvette Convertible Power Boost

Introducing the Hennessey Supercharged H700 C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible, a powerhouse of a machine boasting 708 horsepower courtesy of the Hennessey touch, surpassing even the Corvette Z06 in raw power.

Taking the open-air driving experience to new heights, this upgraded version of the C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible packs an extra punch, a performance boost, and a new identity thanks to Hennessey. With over 200 additional horsepower, it’s a force to be reckoned with.

Initially rolling off the production line with a mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine, the stock Corvette Stingray Convertible churns out 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. But with Hennessey’s expertise, there’s much more potential to unlock.

“We’ve harnessed the power that Chevrolet had yet to tap into,” says John Hennessey, the founder, and CEO of the tuning house. Few cars in this segment can match such performance for the price.

Without resorting to an engine swap, Hennessey achieved this feat, enhancing the 6.2-liter V8 to deliver an impressive 708 horsepower and 638 pound-feet of torque.

This was accomplished through the addition of a high-performance supercharger, meticulously engineered to fit within the Corvette’s compact engine bay, alongside an air induction system featuring an air-to-water intercooler and an improved cat-back exhaust system.

To ensure the car can handle the increased power, the transmission has been reworked, and customers can opt for an active-valve exhaust system. Further enhancements include recalibrated engine software, resulting in a remarkable 44 percent boost in horsepower and a 37 percent increase in torque compared to factory specifications.

Sporting forged 19-inch alloy wheels, the modded Corvette Stingray Convertible exudes performance.

Optional Lightweight Street Wheels in gloss black, matte gunmetal, or satin silver finish are available, complementing the distinctive Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery, offered in Blue, White, Black, Silver, or Red, along with H700 badging and a serial numbered plaque.

While the new performance figures haven’t been unveiled, the stock Corvette Stingray Convertible achieves 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 194 mph.

This upgrade applies to all Chevrolet C8 Corvette models manufactured between 2020 and 2024. Covered by a three-year or 36,000-mile limited warranty, the H700 package is available through authorized Corvette retailers or directly from Hennessey.

Pricing likely mirrors that of the coupe version unveiled last year at $34,950, atop the base price of $76,995 for the stock Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible.
